(Otherwise it takes weeks to get you into the database and verify your membership.)
For those new to Hawai’i, you must both register to vote and register with a political party in order to vote in the Presidential primary.
Please don’t try and sign up here if you are not a registered Hawai’i Democrat because you’ll end up having your IP blocked.
Here’s where we Maui County Democrats are coming together to write our 2012 Resolutions and Platform. Each Section of the Platform has it’s own group. Be sure to organize what you write in the correct group. If I have left out any sections, you can “Create a Group“.
The Resolutions are organized by County, State, and Federal because this is the way we need to submit them. Be aware that we are limited in the number of resolutions we can submit so only write resolutions that you are willing to do the work for.
In past years, we’ve had people submit resolutions that they were not willing to compose in the proper format or do the follow-up work for. This puts an unfair burden on the rest of us here, so resolutions that aren’t in correct format and are not getting follow-up will not be forwarded to the State.
Here’s the format of a Resolution:
Whereas [explain why the resolution is necessary];
and Whereas [more explanation]
Now Therefore Be It Resolved that [whatever you want to resolve]
Resolutions must fit on a single page in 12 point type, so be economical with your words.
