We’re trying to get the different candidates to send us issues-oriented material so people can know where they stand. Check back posts for Bob Marx and Esther Kia’aina issues posts. Nothing so far sent to us by the other 2 candidates for District 2 Congress. Hopefully as we get closer to the primary, we can post a contrast and compare between the candidates on the issues.

“We shouldn’t gamble away another cent towards this destructive and dangerous energy technology. I will fight to end these spending policies and instead aim federal funding toward clean, safe, renewable energy — the type that we can all feel comfortable living next to.”

Tulsi is one real representative of the people for the people. She basically knows what the real problems are and how to resolved them. I hope she is not like any politicians who are lip serving. I would like to see Tulsi in Congress.

If Americans want to be foolish and turn their backs on safety net healthcare then they do so at enourmous social cost. Any other advanced western society does just that. I for one don’t wish to have our most disadvantged tolerating pain and disfigurement just becuase they cant afford to pay for healthcare / insurance.

Some are saying that this is too small. But that is where the genius of the tax is. It is a trivial nothing to ordinary investors. But high speed computerized trading depends on a penny or a fraction of a cent difference in stock price to pull their profit out of the stock market so this tax wipes out their profit and discourages the practice.

At a total $43 trillion in trades per year this tax will raise $13 billion/year.
